The second war with Iran has now been going on for almost a month. A third war will be the price if this one too ends without a real result.

In the current round of fighting, Israel has already lost at least 15 people killed.
Even more have been wounded, and for some the consequences will last a lifetime.
More than 3,500 people have been evacuated from damaged homes.
So far, 10,946 claims for compensation for property damage have already been filed.

Schools and kindergartens are largely closed.
Many businesses are operating under restrictions, and business owners and workers are losing money.
International flights have been reduced significantly. Tourism has effectively stopped.
According to the Finance Ministry, the economic damage from the air campaign against Iran could exceed 9 billion shekels per week.

It would be unacceptable to end everything once again with the familiar formula of a "serious weakening of the threat."
Formulas such as "destroying the enemy's weapons," "restoring deterrence," and other convenient explanations for politicians who failed to achieve the main goal can no longer be presented as victory.
This has to be called by its proper name: defeat.
And defeat in this war carries a monstrous price.

I already wrote earlier that a rare window of opportunity had opened for Israel.
Iran had already managed to turn not only the West, but also many of its Arab neighbors, against itself.
To waste such a moment would be a grave strategic mistake with far-reaching consequences.
